WASC Accreditation
On October 15, 2007, CalArts sumbitted its Institutional Proposal for Reaffirmation of Accreditation to the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

A Proposal Review Committee, made up of six faculty members and administrators from institutions across the country, accepted CalArts' Institutional Proposal on December 12, 2007.
CalArts submitted its Capcity and Preparatory Review report to WASC on November 19, 2009.
Capacity and Preparatory Review (CPR) Report (PDF)
The Capacity and Preparatory Review visit took place from February 10 to 12, 2010. On June 30, 2010, the WASC Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities acted to receive the Capacity and Preparatory Review report and continue CalArts' accreditation. They also acted to schedule the Educational Effectiveness Review (EER) visit for March 7 - 9, 2012. CalArts submitted its EER Report on December 9, 2011.
